Norfolk, VA — Delegate Bonita Anthony (92nd District) and Delegate Michael Feggans (97th District) will co-host a Joint Community Town Hall on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lambert’s Point Recreation Center – Gymnasium, located at 1251 W. 42nd Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23508.
As members of the Emergency Committee to Study the Impacts of Federal Workforce and Funding Reductions, Delegates Anthony and Feggans are convening this event to provide an update on the committee’s progress and engage directly with constituents. The town hall will serve as an open forum for residents throughout the Hampton Roads/757 region to ask questions, share concerns, and offer feedback as the area navigates potential changes to federal funding and employment structures.
Dr. Eric Claville, political and legal analyst, will serve as moderator for the townhall, helping to guide a thoughtful and engaging dialogue between legislators and the community.
“This is a critical moment for Hampton Roads,” said Delegate Anthony. “Our communities deserve transparency and proactive engagement as we assess the potential ripple effects of federal decisions on our regional workforce and economy.”
“As a member of the Emergency Committee, I’ve seen how instability in Washington puts Virginia families at risk,” said Delegate Feggans. “This town hall is an opportunity for residents of Virginia Beach and Norfolk to share their thoughts. I’m committed to delivering stability for a region that depends on federal contracts, military readiness, and support for our dedicated public servants.”
The input gathered during the town hall will help inform the upcoming full committee hearing, scheduled to take place on: Friday, June 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. on the campus of Norfolk State University, 700 Park Ave. Norfolk, Virginia 23504. Visit the Emergency Committee page here.
